Eddy Cu, Senior Vice President of Apple Services, recently published a blog post that revealed the record performance of its service ecology in 2025. Since it went online in July 2008, App Store has accumulated revenues of more than $55 billion for developers. The application of the platform has grown from only 500 to nearly 2 million over the past 18 years, and the global average number of users per week now exceeds 850 million.

In his article, Eddie Cu concluded that 2025 was a record year of breakthrough growth, global expansion and continued innovation in Apple Services. From Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple News to Apple Pay and iClaud, companies provide a rich experience for users worldwide. During the holiday season, user participation reached alarming levels. In addition to App Store, Apple’s other business also performed well. Apple Pay cumulatively intercepted over $1 billion in fraudulent transactions and generated over $100 billion in increased sales for global businesses. During holiday shopping peaks in November and December, consumption growth through Apple Pay significantly exceeded overall consumer spending. Apple TV and Apple Music have also made historic progress in their respective fields.

Apple Pay is now covering 89 markets; “Find” is online in Korea; and Apple Fitness+ has expanded to 28 countries and territories. At the same time, several services, such as Apple Podcasts, Music, News, and others, are celebrating an important anniversary. Eddy Cu concludes by saying that, looking ahead, apples will continue to bring innovation and intelligence to services, always guided by privacy protection and the provision of excellent customer experience.
